New Publication- Shan Gao
The Center for Philosophy of Science announces Shan Gao, 2024 visiting fellow, has been recently published by the journal Foundations of Physics.
Shan Gao is a professor of philosophy at the Research Center for Philosophy of Science and Technology in Shanxi University, China. He is the editor of the International Journal of Quantum Foundations, and is the author of the monograph The Meaning of the Wave Function: In Search of the Ontology of Quantum Mechanics (2017).
“For me, doing philosophy is not only a profession but also, and more importantly, a way of life. Life is transitory. Everybody is a mere mote in the universe. Yet God, the universe, gives us minds, and thus we can know and understand His thoughts. The most happiness is not beyond this. As the great Chinese sage Confucius taught us in The Analects, “Hear the Tao in the morning, and it would be all right to die that evening.” – Shan Gao, Does God Play with Dice, 3-16am, UK
Gao is the editor of the recent volume Consciousness and Quantum Mechanics (2022) and works to write his next book.
