Mike Schneider

Mike’s research hovers at the intersection of the foundations of physics, the philosophy of cosmology, and more general issues in the philosophy of science. He is particularly interested in how our current, theory-laden understanding of the large-scale universe may be leveraged in the development of future fundamental theory, whose purpose is to supplant that current understanding. He also studies the social epistemology of science, with a focus on how the social dynamics of socially diverse communities of researchers can influence the understanding of the world produced by them.
