Laura Menatti

Laura Menatti is an Italian researcher who graduated in philosophy from the University of Pavia (Italy). She has a Ph.D. in aesthetics from the University of Pavia (Italy) and a second Ph.D. in philosophy of globalisation from the University of the Basque Country (Spain).
She is specialised in environmental philosophy, landscape theory and philosophy of medicine. Her research aims at developing a theoretical and practical framework for the investigation of the notion of environment and its effects on human beings. It focuses on the of perception and representations of the environment and on the relationship between environment and health. During her research career, she has pursued an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary trajectory. Her research activities are at the crossroads of philosophy, environmental and cognitive science. They are based on conceptual philosophical work, on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and on field work. She has been teaching and carrying out her research in different faculties and departments (medicine, architecture, philosophy, science) in Spain, Chile, Italy and France.
