Tobias Henschen

Tobias Henschen is Assistant Professor at the Philosophy Department of the University of Konstanz (Germany). He holds degrees in economics and philosophy from the University of Toulouse 1 (France) and the University of Heidelberg (Germany). Before joining the Philosophy Department of the University of Konstanz he was a postdoctoral research and teaching fellow at the University of Heidelberg and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). His written work covers a broad area that ranges from general philosophy of science to the philosophy of Kant and Heidegger. He published a book on the role of authenticity in science and philosophy as well as articles on causality and laws. While in Pittsburgh, he will be working on a book about causality, problems of causal inference, the role of non-epistemic values, and conceptions of scientific objectivity in macroeconomics.
